Penile Curvature

Also known as Peyronie’s Disease, this condition results in a curved penis when erect or failure to achieve erection. This condition is relatively common in men ages 40-85.

Physicians from the Institute for Urologic Excellence (IUE) invented and refined the treatment option commonly used today to correct penile curvature.

Generally with curvature, a small lump has created a mass of scar tissue in the penis, restricting blood flow and causing an incomplete or uneven erection. The cause of the lump is unknown. Sometimes, the curvature is so severe that erection and penetration is painful or impossible.

Oral medication cannot cure curvature. Injection therapy sometimes works temporarily. In time, however, it can produce more scar tissue and worsen the condition. The implant procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and is the only treatment that offers a 95% patient satisfaction rate. Major medical health insurance or Medicaid usually covers the procedure.
